Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala has conducted the +2 (Senior Secondary) board examination from 09 March, 2015 with English Paper and completed on 31 March, 2015 with Sanskrit paper. The Himachal Pradesh Board 12th class examination were held from 09 March,2015 to 31st March, 2015. In year 2014, the HPBOSE exam started on March 05, 2014 with English language paper and completed on March 27,2014 with Philosophy paper. Approximately 8000 schools are affiliated with Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). In the year 2014, total of 103000 students had appeared in class 12th (+2) exam last year and 607151 were declared successful in Arts, Science, and Commerce stream.
Now every year about five lakh students appear in the examination conducted by the HPBOSE. There are around 8000 schools affiliated with the Board in the Himachal Pradesh state with about 1650 examination centers set up by the board throughout the state.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education came into existence in 1969. The main agenda of this board is to recommend syllabus, courses of instruction, and test books and to conduct examinations for school education in Himachal Pradesh. the Board conducts examination for both Matric and Plus 2. Every year there are approximately five lakh students who sit for the HP Board examinations. More than eight thousand schools are affiliated with HPBOSE. HP Board has also established 1650 examination centers all over the state and it successfully publishes text books from first class to 12th class.
